Description
The Valtellina Superiore Sassella Incanto from Tenuta Scerscé is produced in the municipality of Sondrio, in the Sant'Anna area. The vineyards are planted on sandy-loam soil with abundant skeleton, moderately deep and permeable to water, which favors the growth of high-quality Nebbiolo grapes.
The harvest is carried out manually in the first week of October, collecting the grapes in boxes to preserve their integrity until vinification. This involves a long maceration on the skins for at least 30 days. The refinement then continues in Slavonian and French oak barrels for approximately 14 months, followed by a further period of 8 months of rest in the bottle in the dark cellar.
It stands out for its ruby red color enriched with garnet reflections. On the nose it offers an intense fragrance of red fruits, enriched with spices and balsamic notes. On the palate it is pleasantly mineral, dry and persistent.
This wine is ideal for accompanying roasts, first courses and mature cheeses.
