Description
The Valtellina Superiore Inferno Flammante from Tenuta Scerscé comes from the municipality of Treviso Bresciano, more precisely from the Calvario area. It is the result of only Nebbiolo grapes, locally called Chiavennasca, which adapts perfectly to the typical soil of this area, characterized by a sandy-loam soil, moderately deep and permeable to water, with abundant skeleton.
The harvest takes place manually, in boxes, in the first week of October. Fermentation involves maceration on the skins for at least 30 days. Maturation takes place in Slavonian and French oak barrels for approximately 14 months, followed by another 8 months of refinement in the bottle.
It has a ruby red color enriched with garnet reflections. On the nose there are intense notes of small red fruits, a marked minerality and spicy nuances. On the palate the wine is elegant and characterful, pleasantly dry and fresh.
This wine pairs beautifully with roasts, game and first courses with meat sauce.
