Description
The Valpolicella Superiore Campo Prognai of Ilatium Morini was born in the Illasi valley, in the province of Verona. The company is based in Mezzane di Sotto.
It is made up of the classic blend of the area: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina. The grapes are destemmed and crushed, to then be fermented at a controlled temperature, with delestage and pumping over. The wine ages in French and American oak barrels for 12-15 months.
Garnet red in colour, the nose is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, enriched with spicy and mineral notes. The sip is warm, soft, medium structured and with a persistent finish.
Excellent in combination with pasta with meat sauce, lasagna and grilled meat.
