Description
The Valpolicella Superiore of Allegrini rises on the Fumane hills, from clay and limestone soil, in the heart of the Valpolicella DOC.
It is mainly produced with Corvina Veronese grapes and with Rondinella and Molinara grapes, harvested manually during the first days of October. After a soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel under controlled temperature conditions. It ages for a few months in steel before being bottled.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color with purple veins. The nose is expressed on notes of red fruits, enriched with balsamic and cocoa notes on the finish. In the mouth it is characterized by a fresh, soft and satisfying taste.
Excellent to accompany rich first courses, it can be associated with grilled meats and aged cheeses.
