Description
This Ripasso Superiore was born within the Venetian excellence Zonin1821, immersed in the heart of the famous area of Valpolicella.
This wine is mainly made with Corvina grapes and with Rondinella and Molinara grapes, meticulously harvested by hand. Following the traditional Ripasso technique, the must is passed on the freshly pressed Amarone pomace. This technique slightly increases the alcohol content and enriches the organoleptic potential of the wine, which subsequently matures 12 months in 30 HL Slavonian oak barrels.
Ripasso Superiore by Zonin has an intense ruby red color. The nose comes fine and complex, with vinous tones and well-defined notes of cherry and cocoa. In the mouth it shows a good structure, with a pleasantly fruity aftertaste with light spicy notes.
Perfect with first courses and well-aged cheeses, excellent with the traditional pastizada de caval (horse stew).
