Description
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Reius is produced with Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina grapes, coming from the hilly vineyards northwest of Verona. The wine is aged for 12 months in cement and for 3 years in medium and large oak barrels, with a further 6 months of rest in the bottle. It has an intense red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it releases enveloping aromas of spices, dried fruit and small red fruits. On the palate it is velvety, with a full and complex structure, characterized by a notable intensity and persistence. It pairs perfectly with important dishes, game, grilled meats and spicy and mature cheeses.
Regolo is a Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore. The grapes are subjected to crushing and destemming, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days. During the second fermentation, the so-called "ripasso" of the wine takes place on the Amarone marc. This process favors the extraction of tannins and aromas typical of this wine. The refinement also includes a passage in medium and large barrels for about 18-24 months. Bright garnet red in color, with intense aromas of red fruit in alcohol, sweet spices and mentholated balms. On the palate it is intense and velvety, with hints of ripe cherry, red plum and a hint of cinnamon. It pairs well with substantial dishes accompanied by sauces, such as braised pork cheek or fatty grilled meats.
