Description
The Valpolicella Superiore Il Rosso from the Télos di Sant'Antonio line comes from vineyards located in Monte Garbi, in the Veronese municipality of Mezzane di Sotto.
It is mainly produced with Corvina and Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in the second week of September. After soft pressing in the total absence of oxygen, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, without any addition of sulphites. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in new and second-hand French oak barrels.
Rosso di Sant'Antonio has a purple ruby red color. The nose opens with a fine and complex bouquet, with hints of dried flowers such as violet and iris, enriched with notes of roasted coffee, ripe red and black berry fruit. On the palate it is dry and warm, fairly soft, with excellent persistence.
Perfect to accompany first courses with elaborate sauces, grilled, roasted and braised red meats, this red wine is ideal in combination with game and non-spicy seasoned cheeses.
