Description
Valpolicella Superiore La Bandina di Sant'Antonio was born in vineyards located in the Monti Garbi locality, in the Veronese municipality of Mezzane.
It is mainly produced with Corvina grapes and with Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 24 months in French oak tonneaux, before being bottled.
Valpolicella Superiore La Bandina di Sant'Antonio has a deep ruby red color with purple hues. The nose opens with intense aromas of cherry and red fruits, enriched with notes of licorice, tobacco and cedar wood. On the palate it is soft, warm and well structured, with good balance and persistence.
Perfect to accompany pasta dishes with elaborate sauces, grilled red meats and roasts, this red wine is ideal in combination with lamb, game and seasoned cheeses.
