Description
Valpolicella Classico Superiore by Cesari is a red wine produced in the Marano di Valpolicella area, in Veneto, where the vines are grown on calcareous soils of alluvial-moraine origin. The grapes that make up this wine are a blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella.
The production involves a maceration on the skins for 12 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. After this process, the wine is refined in steel tanks for a certain period and then rests in the bottle for at least three months before being marketed.
This wine has an intense dark garnet red color. On the nose, distinct mineral notes emerge with spicy cherry aromas that blend with notes of cocoa, licorice, leather and musk. On the palate it is full and velvety, the finish is persistent, long and complex.
This Valpolicella Classico Superiore pairs perfectly with roast meat dishes or mature cheeses.
