Description
Château Musar Rosso is a red wine of great structure and complexity produced in the Beeka Valley, Lebanon. Made up of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignano, the vineyards extend over 130 hectares of gravelly soils with limestone subsoil and have an average age of 40 years.
The vinification involves destemming, maceration on the skins for 4 weeks and spontaneous and malolactic fermentation in concrete vats of 60 to 300 hl. Aging takes place on the fine lees for 1 year in French oak barriques, followed by 1 year in vitrified concrete vats and 3 years in the bottle, giving the wine considerable complexity and structure.
Château Musar Rosso is inspired by the great Bordeaux and has a maturation potential of up to 50 years and beyond. It presents power, minerality and richness, with notes of fruit, spices, leather and balsamic sides. On the palate it is silky, fine and deep.
This wine pairs perfectly with dishes such as capon with chestnuts or beef stew cooked in tajine with almonds and plums.
