Description
A wine obtained from the precious blend of 85% Carménère, with a part of 15% Syrah, from the Colchagua Valley, in Chile.
The grapes were harvested in the period between 12 and 21 April, in the best period to ensure that the aromas, fragrances, and tannins are expressed at their best. A pre-fermentation maceration at a low temperature allowed to preserve the aromas and color to the maximum. The must was then subjected to fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Part of this was left to rest for 4 months in French oak, and then rest for a further 6 months in the bottle.
Its intense cherry red color stands out in the glass, while the aromas of black and red fruits such as blueberry, blackberry, black currant, strawberry and cherry are clearly perceived on the nose. Warm, enveloping on the palate, pleasantly soft on the finish.
It goes well with soft and aged cheeses, as well as red meats such as pork: it is the ideal wine to accompany a roast loin.
