Description
The Syrah 870 red wine is produced by the Valle d'Aosta winery Rosset, whose first hectares of vineyards were planted in 2001 in the Senin area of Saint-Christophe. In the following years, the company decided to push production even higher up, buying vineyards over 900 meters above sea level
The wine is made from Syrah grapes from Toules and Saint-Christophe, from vineyards approx. 750 meters of altitude. The grapes undergo a pre-fermentation cold maceration with controlled temperature. Fermentation takes place in French oak vats and in amphorae at controlled temperatures. The post-fermentation maceration lasts 20 days, with subsequent pressing and aging in barrique.
The wine has a ruby red color, with a nose that recalls the aromas of wild berries, licorice and black pepper. The sip is dry, with velvety tannins.
It is an excellent combination with braised and stewed meats.
