Description
The Torrette Supérieur by Elio Ottin is a wine produced in the municipality of St. Christophe, in the province of Aosta, on silty-sandy soils with a notable presence of skeleton. The blend is dominated by the Petit Rouge grape, enriched by small percentages of Fumin grapes, giving life to a unique and characteristic wine.
The harvest is manual, followed by fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature of 9-10°C. The refinement of the wine lasts for 10 months in wood and a further 4 months in the bottle, allowing it to develop complexity and harmony.
The Torrette Supérieur shows a garnet red color and the nose distinguishes aromas of ripe red fruits, leather and spices. The sip is intense and fine, with velvety tannins that underline its elegance.
This wine goes perfectly with meat sauce, stewed meats and grilled red meat.
