Description

Urmeneta Carmenère is a red wine from the Central Valley of Chile, produced by one of the oldest wineries in the country. This expression of Carmenere, a variety that originated in Bordeaux but has found its ideal habitat in Chile, offers a soft and fruity profile, fully reflecting the potential of the Chilean terroir. With the addition of Syrah, the wine gains further complexity and structure.

Carmenere and Syrah grapes are carefully harvested and selected before undergoing a traditional winemaking process. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the fresh aromas, followed by a short refinement to keep the fruity and soft characteristics of the wine intact. The screw cap guarantees freshness and longevity.

In the glass it presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose you can perceive notes of apple, currant, sweet spices and light herbaceous nuances. In the mouth it is soft, round and well-balanced, with velvety tannins and a pleasantly persistent finish, which recalls the fruity and spicy notes.

This Carmenere pairs perfectly with game meats such as wild boar.
