Description
Conte Collalto's Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry Gaio was born in the renowned Prosecco Superiore area, in the province of Treviso.
It is produced entirely from Glera grapes, selected and harvested manually between 10 and 30 September. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks for about 6-8 days. Subsequently the wine is aged for 3 months on the noble lees and for a further 3 months in the bottle.
It is characterized by a pale straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with an intense fruity bouquet, enriched by sweet aromatic notes. On the palate it is fresh, harmonious and pleasantly savory. It is a structured and only slightly sugary wine.
It is a prosecco that goes perfectly with light aperitifs based on crustaceans and molluscs. It is ideal to serve with salmon, shrimp and raw fish based appetizers.
