Description
The Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut Inter Collection by Santa Margherita is produced with Glera grapes on the hills between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. These areas are characterized by soils of moraine origin, shallow, with the presence of sandstones and conglomerates.
The harvest takes place in the second half of September. Once the fermentation of the base wine is completed, it is placed in an autoclave where it ferments for 18-20 days using selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 14-16°C. Once the desired overpressure has been reached, the mass is cooled to -4°C to stop fermentation and promote stabilization. Subsequently, the sparkling wine remains at a controlled temperature of 8-10°C for at least 30 days.
Visually it presents a straw yellow color and a very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers crunchy aromas of white pulp fruit, acacia flowers and peach. The freshness of small wild strawberries emerges on the palate, accompanied by a lively effervescence that leads to a long and fragrant finish, rich in notes of yellow flowers, pear and peach.
This Prosecco is perfect as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with fish or cheese-based appetizers.
