Description
Sauvignon Blanc Marquis de Goulaine is one of the most valid expressions of Sauvignon Blanc coming from the Loire Valley.
With vines grown on soils composed mostly of limestone, shale and clay, the wine is made from the union of the best monsters of the estates, obtained using low fermentation temperatures and with the utmost attention to preserving the final product from oxidative processes also thanks to a intense filtering activity. The wine remains in contact with the yeasts for a maximum of 8 months.
Bright straw yellow, it has tropical fruit such as guava and melon on the nose, with herbaceous hints mitigated by the presence of white pulp fruits and floral notes. On the palate it is fresh and lively, medium-bodied and with a medium finish.
If it never disappoints in combination with crustaceans and steamed prawns, it is also worth trying with rustic vegetable pies or semi-mature cheeses.
