Description

Sangiovese Il Pometo Lungarotti is a red wine that reflects the character of the Umbrian territory with a ready-to-drink style. Sangiovese grapes are harvested between September and October in the valleys of Umbria, where the soil is rich in limestone, clay and sand, giving the wine its typical freshness and complexity.

The vinification takes place with fermentation in steel and short maceration, followed by daily pumping over and racking after 10-12 days, allowing to obtain a wine that fully expresses its varietal characteristics.

The color is red with light purple reflections. On the nose, this Sangiovese presents light blood notes, hints of blood orange, Mediterranean scrub and juicy red fruit. On the palate, the wine is fresh and crisp with delicate tannins that give it additional chewiness. The aromatic profile is intense and controlled, never explosive.

This wine pairs perfectly with typical dishes such as Norcia ham and a sandwich with Bevagna porchetta, but also lends itself to fusion interpretations such as Cantonese pork belly, offering unique gastronomic versatility.
