Description
Castelfalco red wine is born in the heart of Italy, in Umbria. The vineyards are located with south-east exposure in the municipality of Bevagna at about 250 meters above sea level.
The wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Sagrantino grapes, harvested manually, depending on the variety, between mid-September and early October. Once in the cellar, the classic red vinification takes place, followed by refinement in steel tanks and in the bottle for approximately 8 months.
Ruby red in color with purple reflections, the nose presents aromas of cherry jam, blackberry and currant, with ethereal notes. The sip is well structured, long-lasting.
It pairs excellently with tasty baked pasta, pasta stuffed with meat sauces and stewed meats.
