Description
This Pinot Noir from Antinori was born in vineyards located in the land surrounding the Castello della Sala, in Umbria.
It is entirely produced with Pinot Noir grapes, harvested manually in the first ten days of September. After cold maceration for about 3 days, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26 ° C and then in French oak barriques, where it also completes the malolactic fermentation. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 10 months and for a further period in the bottle, before being placed on the market.
It has a ruby red color typical of the variety. The nose opens with evident floral and fruity notes, among which hints of black currant and strawberry stand out. On the palate it is elegant and refined, with soft tannins and a pleasantly long and mineral aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce and cold cuts, this red wine is ideal in combination with roasts, game and aged cheeses.
