Description

Grechetto Il Pometo Umbria is a white wine of territorial character produced by the Lungarotti winery. Made 100% with Grechetto grapes, this wine represents one of the oldest native vines, celebrated for its purity and its expression of the territory. The harvest takes place in mid-September, guaranteeing an optimal harvest to preserve the typical aroma and freshness of Grechetto.

The vinification of this Grechetto takes place using exclusively free-run must, obtained through soft pressing of the grapes. The process includes a short cryomaceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is kept on the lees until bottling, enhancing its aromas and flavors.

Intense straw yellow in colour, this Grechetto offers an inebriating aromatic bouquet with floral notes of jasmine and rose, accompanied by hints of exotic fruit such as pineapple, citrus fruits and touches of anise. On the palate it is dry and full-bodied, characterized by a lively freshness and notable flavor, with an almond finish typical of the vine.

Perfect to accompany fish dishes such as tuna belly sashimi and Japanese amberjack, enhancing the flavors with its freshness and complexity.
