Description
Umbria Bianco Torre di Giano was born in vineyards located in Torgiano, in the heart of Umbria. The name of this wine recalls the origins of Torgiano, testified by an ancient Roman tower, once dedicated to the god Janus.
It is produced with 40% Vermentino grapes, 35% with Trebbiano grapes and 25% with Grechetto grapes, harvested in early September. After a short cryomaceration, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently the wine refines on the fine lees at low temperatures, before being bottled.
It is characterized by a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose opens with a delicate bouquet, with hints of peach and pear, enriched by pleasant notes of almond. On the palate it is elegant, pleasantly fresh and dry. The wine has a good structure, with a slight sour note and a long fruity persistence.
Perfect to accompany aperitifs and first courses, it is ideal in combination with dishes based on fish, seafood and white meats.
