Description
Krone's Borealis Cuvee Brut is a Classic Method sparkling wine produced in the Western Cape region. It is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, vines that give elegance and structure, representing the essence of this wine-growing area.
The harvest takes place exclusively at night, to preserve the freshness of the grapes. Only the first must obtained from pressing is used for the production of this sparkling wine. Fermentation takes place directly in the bottle, where the wine matures on the lees for approximately 12 months in the underground cellars of the estate, acquiring unique complexity and nuances.
Visually it presents itself with an intense straw yellow color and golden reflections, very clear and enriched by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals hints of pineapple, apple, lime and light pastry notes. In the mouth it is full and very fresh, with a creamy texture, hints of caramel and bread crust, resulting very persistent and finely balanced.
It pairs well with vegetable cakes, sashimi and raw seafood, without forgetting fresh fruit. It is also an excellent choice for aperitifs or light fish-based starters, enhancing the flavors with its freshness and complexity.
