Description
The Sauvignon Blanc from Cantina La Vis is part of the Classics selection, dedicated to the most representative wines of Trentino. The company was founded in 1948 and is based in Lavis, in the province of Trento.
The grape harvest takes place in the second half of September, followed by soft pressing in an inert atmosphere and static decanting of the must. Vinification follows with fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel vats, and then proceeds to refinement, of which 10% takes place in oak barrels, and on the lees for 4-5 months before bottling.
Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections, on the nose the aromatic profile recalls elderflower, peach and other ripe fruit. The sip is savory, with good persistence.
It goes well with fish, even grilled, and shellfish.
