Description
Zaccagnini's Trebbiano d'Abruzzo San Clemente originates in the vineyard of the same name located in the heart of the Casauria valley. The name is inspired by the ancient Abbey of San Clemente di Casauria, a national monument since 1894, which in 1872 hosted the relics of Pope Clement I, depicted on the label.
The harvest takes place manually between the end of September and the beginning of October. The must ferments for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature of 14-16°C with long maceration on the skins. The wine ages in untoasted barriques for at least 6 months.
Bright straw yellow in color with golden reflections, it opens on the nose with aromas of ripe white pulp fruit. On the palate it is rich and voluminous, creamy and dynamic, with a structure that accompanies the tasting towards a fresh and enveloping finish.
Perfect in combination with appetizers and fish-based first courses, it is excellent with white meats.
