Description
The Westmalle Tripel
Dubbel is produced by Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Abbey in Westmalle, founded in 1794 by the Cistercian order. In the Abbey the monks produce 3 types of beer: Triple, Dubbel and Extra.
How is Tripel produced?
This beer is top-fermented, produced by the master brewer with the best raw materials: pure water, barley malt, hops, sugar and yeast grown in the abbey.
Sight, nose, eye and palate
Tripel is a golden colored beer, which on the nose reveals aromas of ripe tropical fruit. Its taste is complex, delicately bitter, medium-bodied and with a dense foam.
What do you pair Tripel with?
Try it in combination with cured meats, including smoked ones, and mature cheeses.
