Description
The San Pio di Mastrojanni red wine was born in the municipality of Montalcino, in the province of Siena, known for being the homeland of choice for the renowned Brunello.
It is obtained from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which ferment in steel at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine remains to refine for 18 months in French oak tonneaux and small barrels and for a further 6 months in the bottle.
In the glass it is ruby red with purple reflections. The nose expresses aromas of red fruits and spices. In the mouth it is dry and ample, with a persistent finish.
It goes well with stewed and grilled red meat.
