Description
The Chianti Rùfina Riserva Vigna Montesodi dei Marchesi de' Frescobaldi was born in the homonymous vineyard of Castello Nipozzano, located in Pèlago, in the province of Florence.
It is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes, harvested strictly by hand at the beginning of October, then fermented in stainless steel at a temperature below 35°C for 10 days, with a maceration that continues for another 30 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in Austrian and French oak barrels for 18 months and then refined in the bottle for approximately 6 months before being released on the market.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color. On the nose, hints of violet and blackberry stand out, followed by toasted notes of arabica coffee and spicy nuances of nutmeg, cloves, black pepper and liquorice. In the mouth it is fresh, with a dense and thin texture and a generous body. The finish is long, dominated by fresh and fruity notes.
Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal in combination with the typical Florentine steak.
