Description
The Pievasciata rosato is a Tuscan wine from the young company Valle Picciola, located in the Pievasciata area, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga (SI), where it manages 105 hectares of vineyards following the principles of sustainable agriculture.
The grape harvest usually takes place in the second half of August. In the cellar we proceed first of all to the destemming-crushing of the grapes, to the maceration in the press for the extraction of the color and to the static decantation in steel for 12-24 hours. Alcoholic fermentation always takes place in steel and is followed by batonnage and aging on the fine lees for 3 months. The wine remains in the bottle for 2 months before being placed on the market.
The wine is characterized in the glass by a light pink color. On the nose there are aromas of fresh rose, red fruits such as wild strawberries and raspberries, while the sip is fresh, of medium persistence.
Pievasciata rosato is perfect in combination with warm seafood appetizers, octopus with potatoes and cold rice and pasta salads.
