Description
Villa Antinori Rosso is the result of the Antinori family's centuries-old experience in wine production, capable of bringing together multiple grape varieties in the same bottle, extracting from each of them the best characteristics of the sensorial heritage provided.
It is mainly made from Sangiovese grapes, to which small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are added. Following the manual harvest of the grapes, which took place between the end of September and the first days of October, the bunches are subjected to a soft pressing and the must is transferred to steel tanks where fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins for 8- 12 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, then refines in oak barriques and in the bottle, perfecting its organoleptic characteristics.
Of an intense ruby red colour, it opens on the nose with a complex bouquet in which hints of ripe fruit, cherry and plum above all prevail, accompanied by an elegant spiciness based on vanilla and pepper due to the passage in wood. On the palate it is round and full-bodied, with sweet, soft and velvety tannins, concluding on a pleasantly long and savory finish.
Ideal to serve alongside game dishes, Villa Antinori Rosso pairs perfectly with red meats.
