Description
Ugo Contini Bonacossi from the Capezzana winery is a pure Sangiovese from the Carmignano area in Tuscany. Produced with selected grapes, this wine expresses the typicality and refinement of the territory. The vineyard, designed and created by Ugo Contini Bonacossi, is located at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level on silty and clayey schist soils.
The vinification takes place in steel tanks, with a 7-day alcoholic fermentation followed by a 13-day maceration on the skins. The malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barriques, where the wine is then aged for 18 months. It is then refined in the bottle for at least 12 months, developing further complexity and harmony.
In the glass it presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose it opens with intense and persistent aromas of red fruit, accompanied by elegant spicy, floral notes and hints of Kentucky tobacco. On the palate it is elegant and refined, with silky and well-balanced tannins, accompanied by a long aftertaste that recalls sweet spices, mint and light vanilla.
It pairs beautifully with red meat dishes and mature cheeses.
