Description
The Toscana Rosso Petra of the homonymous company was born in the vineyards on the ferrous hills of the Val di Cornia, in the ancient village of Suvereto.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, harvested between the end of August and mid-September. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and vinification takes place in oak vats. Subsequently the wine matures in barrique at a controlled temperature for 18 months, and for a further 18 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
It is characterized by a garnet red color, with intense and luminous shades. The nose is deep, complex and resistant. On the palate it is full, with hints of black fruits and pleasant nuances of cherry, enriched with spicy notes of rosemary, myrtle and coffee.
Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
