Description
The Toscana Rosso Scrio of the Le Macchiole winery is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Bolgheri.
It is produced exclusively with Syrah grapes, harvested by hand during the third week of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 20 days at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine is aged in barriques for 14 months before being bottled.
The Scrio is characterized by an intense and deep ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasant balsamic hints of mint and eucalyptus. On the palate it is pleasantly round, with balanced and sweet tannins.
Perfect to accompany dishes based on meat sauce and risotto, it is ideal in combination with roasts, game and stews.
