Description
The Leone di Carobbio red wine is born in vineyards located in Panzano in Chianti (Florence).
It is made exclusively of Sangiovese grapes, which are fermented for 10 days in thermoregulated tanks. This is followed by maceration for 21 days and, after drawing off, refinement in French oak barriques for 24 months. The refinement ends with 10 months in the bottle.
Intense garnet red in colour, it reveals to the nose aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, tobacco, incense with delicate vanilla notes. The sip is dry, with soft tannins and a persistent finish.
It pairs well with stewed wild boar, grilled red meat and mature cheeses.
