Description
The Tuscan Sangiovese Government at the Tuscan use of San Leonino was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti. The Government of Tuscan use is a methodology that distinguished the wines of the Chianti area in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested during the month of September. The wine ferments in cement tanks at controlled temperatures. Subsequently the wine undergoes a second fermentation in barrique to increase the glycerin content, thus giving the wine a softer flavor, while maintaining the austerity and elegance.
The Government of Tuscan use is characterized by an intense red color. The nose opens with aromas of red fruits, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is soft, round and pleasantly fresh.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
