Description
Toscana Sangiovese Fontalloro di Fèlsina is born in vineyards located on the two sides of the border between the Chianti Classico and Chianti Colli Senesi areas.
It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, rigorously harvested by hand in two different periods, with a careful selection of the best bunches. The grapes ferment at a controlled temperature of 28 - 30 ° C and macerate for 16 - 20 days with punching down and pumping over, always at a controlled temperature. The wine is then transferred to first and second passage barriques and remains here for 18 - 22 months. Once bottled, it rests for a further 8 - 12 months before being placed on the market.
It is a wine with an intense and rich ruby red color. The nose opens with a complex bouquet, with accentuated aromas of tobacco and wet earth, pleasant fruity notes of blackcurrant and blackberry and a spicy nuance of licorice. On the palate it has good tannins, with soft and consistent tannins. Wine with an excellent structure, with a long and persistent aftertaste, it has a good longevity.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with red meats, grilled red meats and game. Also excellent with aged cheeses.
