Description
The Rosso Tassinaia of Castello del Terriccio was born in vineyards located on the rolling Tuscan hills, in the magical castle from which the name of the company derives, built in the Middle Ages.
It is produced with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested between the end of August and the third week of September. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of 29 ° C for a week, in addition the must undergoes a maceration for 2 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages in tonneaux for 16-18 months before being bottled.
The Tassinaia is characterized by a purple red color. The nose opens with elegant aromas of berries, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of tobacco. On the palate it has a delicate acidity and a pleasantly tannic structure.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
