Description

The Poggio de' Colli red wine from the Piaggia winery was born in vineyards located in Poggio a Caiano, in the province of Prato. The company was founded in the mid-70s by Mauro Vannucci and today manages 15 hectares of vineyards.

The 100% Cabernet Franc grapes are vinified in open wooden containers, where contact with the skins lasts for 2 weeks. The wine obtained is aged in French oak barriques for at least 15 months, followed by at least 6 months in the bottle.

Intense ruby red in color with purple reflections, the wine reveals a fruity bouquet of raspberry and blackberry to the nose, to which are added hints of spices, coffee and licorice. The sip is elegant, with silky tannins and a clean finish.

It goes well with important courses of red meat and game.
