Description
The Rosso Rosso Lupicaia of Castello del Terriccio was born in vineyards located on the rolling Tuscan hills, in the magical castle, from which the name of the company derives, built in medieval times.
It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested only by hand between September and October. Fermentation takes place for 16 days for Petit Verdot and for 20 days for Cabernet Sauvignon at a controlled temperature of 29 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 22 months before being bottled.
Lupicaia is characterized by an intense red color. The nose opens with elegant hints of black currant, enriched with pleasant spicy notes and delicate balsamic nuances. On the palate it is rich, full-bodied and pleasantly structured.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and mushrooms, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses and as a meditation wine.
