Description
This Rosso di Toscana by La Poderina is produced near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, not far from Montalcino. The predominant grape is Sangiovese, with the addition of various international grape varieties.
The harvest is manual and is done at the end of September. Fermentation with maceration takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature (24-26 °C) with daily pumping over and délestage. After racking, the wine is transferred to steel to complete its ageing.
The colour is a ruby red of good intensity with violet reflections. On the nose, we have hints of violets and red fruits, with a touch of spice. The wine has a good structure, with well developed tannins.
In combination with the Tuscan appetizer, with first courses with meat sauces and stewed red meats.
