Description
The Tuscan red wine Il Radagio by Tenuta di Carleone is born in vineyards located in Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena. The Carleone estate was founded in 2012 by Karl Egger, who with the help of his friend Sean O'Callaghan produces wines following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture and low-interventionist oenology.
The wine is made up of Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes in equal measure, which are vinified in concrete tanks for 5 months, followed by a year's refinement in the same containers.
Intense ruby red in colour, it opens on the nose with hints of red and black berries such as blueberries, strawberries and currants. On the palate it shows smooth tannins and great taste balance.
It pairs very well with truffle tagliolini and grilled meats.
