Description

The Tuscan red wine Futuro di Colombaio di Cenci is a balanced blend of the international red grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The wine is born on the Tuscan hills in Cornia and Monticello.

The manual harvest of the grapes takes place in the second half of September. The grapes are de-stemmed and whole berry vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks for 21 days, with post-submerged cap maceration for 2 months. The wine is then pressed and aged in large barrels and new tonneaux for about 24 months.

Deep ruby red in color, the nose releases hints of ripe red fruit, dehydrated apricot and notes of black pepper. The sip is broad and full-bodied, with a persistent finish.

Ideal in combination with red meats and game both stewed and roasted, as well as aged cheeses.
