Description
The Coniale di Castellare di Castellina red wine is made with grapes from vineyards located on the hills of Castellina in Chianti, in the province of Siena.
It consists of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are vinified in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks. Once the malolactic fermentation is completed, it is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques (50% new), and then rests for a further 10 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
Deep ruby red in colour, it opens to the nose with aromas of red and black fruit such as blueberries, currants, cherries and dates, followed by floral notes of violet and dog rose. The sip is soft and velvety, with fine and silky tannins and a long and fruity finish.
Perfect to accompany roasted and grilled red meats, game and aged cheeses.
