Description
Malenchini's Toscana Rosso Bruzzico is a red wine that embodies the richness and complexity of the Antella terroir in Florence. This wine stands out for its balanced composition of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from over twenty-year-old vineyards.
The manual harvest at the end of September is followed by the fermentation of the grapes which takes place separately in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with a maceration period on the skins of approximately 18 days. This process, enriched by pumping over and délestages, favors the extraction of colors and aromas, preparing the wine for an aging phase that further enhances its qualities. The refinement continues for approximately 16 months in wood, with the Sangiovese in oak barrels and the Cabernet Sauvignon in first and second passage barriques, before a further stay in the bottle for approximately 12 months.
It has a very intense ruby red color. The fruity notes of plum and cherry dominate the nose, enriched by nuances of coffee, hazelnut, liquorice and leather. On the palate the wine expresses great structural complexity, combining power and elegance in a perfect balance between acidity and tannins that suggest long-lasting aging potential.
This wine finds its maximum expression in pairings with intense and flavourful dishes, such as Florentine steak, game and truffle-based dishes. Ideal for enhancing foods with great character.
