Description

The Bertinga Tuscan red wine from the homonymous company is born in vineyards located in the Chianti Classico area.

Once harvested, the 50% Merlot and 50% Sangiovese grapes are vinified in steel and concrete vats. The wine then ages in French oak barriques and Austrian oak tonneaux for approx. 18 months, followed by 12 months in the bottle.

Brilliant purple-red in colour, the nose is expressed with aromas of ripe black fruits, enriched by vegetal, spicy and aromatic herb notes. The sip is soft and powerful, with well-integrated thick tannins.

It goes very well with first courses with meat sauces, grilled red meats as well as aged cheeses.
