Nose of black currant, with touches of licorice, then wild mint and peony. Mouth of crunchiness and density, with savory-brackish tannins and final with a fruity-floral return.

Description

Ràsole Le Forconate is a blend of Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes produced by the Barbanera company.

Grown on soils composed mainly of clay, sand and limestone, the vines are usually harvested starting from the second half of September. A careful phase of selection of the best grapes allows to start the vinification in steel at a controlled temperature. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages in 70% new barriques for at least 24 months.

Intense ruby red in color, it reveals red and black jam fruits on the nose, finished with pleasant spicy notes. Dense on the palate, it offers compact tannins and great fruit freshness, for a dense, pleasant and intense taste. Balanced in structure, it presents a finish of great persistence.

It can accompany savory first courses, grilled meats and cured meats. Try it with lamb and shank cooked in the oven.
