Description
Pater Patriae is a Pinot Noir produced in Tuscany and comes from the best vineyards of the estate, located on south-east facing slopes at 250 meters above sea level.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. The fermentation is completely natural, entrusted only to indigenous yeasts, and takes place in oak vats for 18-25 days at a controlled temperature. Aging lasts 12 months in French oak barriques, followed by 3-6 months in concrete tanks and a further 12-24 months in the bottle.
The color is intense ruby red. The bouquet is elegant with hints of raspberry and rose. On the palate it is soft, with notes of red fruits, leather, balsamic and spices. The wine is full-bodied, with a high structure, medium tannins and good acidity, and has a good persistence in the finish.
It pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, game and mature cheeses.
