Toscana IGT Pian del Ciampolo 2021 Montevertine

Pian del Ciampolo is an elegant red wine produced by Fattoria di Montevertine. This wine is obtained from a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino, coming from vineyards located in the heart of Tuscany.

The winemaking involves alcoholic fermentation in concrete tanks for approximately 25 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in concrete. The wine is then aged for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels and a further 3 months in the bottle before being released on the market. This process guarantees the development of complex aromas and a balanced structure.

On the nose, Pian del Ciampolo offers intense aromas of ripe red fruits, delicate spices and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is harmonious with soft tannins and a pleasant acidity that combine with flavors of cherry, plum and vanilla. The finish is long and persistent, with a light mineral nuance.

Perfect in combination with cured meats, first courses and grilled meats, this wine enhances the flavors of traditional Italian cuisine.
