Lively, fresh and snappy nose with aromas of violet, blackberry, cherry and wild strawberry to reveal a vinous and immediately enjoyable character. You can barely glimpse a vegetable note of root and bark, then a hint of spiciness as a young Sangiovese in terms of tobacco and pepper. In the mouth it is lanky and ready, the structure is discreet that makes it suitable for every situation: the tannin is lively but light, the balsamic references just hinted at in the finish complete a picture that is apparently simple but which offers beautiful marine and Mediterranean scrub sensations.

Description

Masolino Toscana IGT is a pure Sangiovese and comes from the most suitable areas of the Maremma characterized by clayey soils, silt and fine skeleton.

After harvesting around the second week of September, the wine ferments for at least 10 days in steel tanks before the malolactic fermentation begins, again in steel. At least three months of bottle aging follow.

Ruby red in color, it has rich hints of red fruits and flowers on the nose interspersed with sweet spicy notes. The taste is dense and balanced, with good structure and pleasant persistence.

Ideal as an accompaniment to red and grilled meats, it is an excellent match for regional Tuscan cuisine and aged cheeses.
