Description
The Toscana Chardonnay Libaio di Ruffino was born in the vineyards located on the La Solatia estate, near the medieval village of Monteriggioni.
It is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes, which undergo de-stemming and soft pressing. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C for 8 days. Subsequently the wine ages in the same containers at a controlled temperature of about 10 ° C before being bottled.
The Libaio is characterized by a bright straw yellow color. The nose opens with pleasant floral aromas that evolve into hints of Golden apple, sage and fig. On the palate it is fresh and harmonious, with a pleasant softness balanced by a marked acidity. The wine has a persistent finish, with a delicate aftertaste of orange peel.
Perfect to accompany aperitifs and vegetable based first courses, it is ideal in combination with fish dishes.
